I think…finally…Spring Has Sprung!!! 🌸🌱🌼☀️
As the weather and seasons shift, we are shifting things around in the store and are excited to be in the midst of our Spring Sale. Come on in and see what’s new…and what’s on the way out! And…as you will see below…we have giveaways, too!
I love this time of year, and I am ready for it! I have been cleansing, doing some breathwork, and cleaning out things at the office and home. While some of this looks like a work in progress, that’s okay with me. I encourage you to embrace being a work in progress, too. If we can do more to help with your health and wellness journey, give us a call, drop us an email, or come on in! Enjoy the warmer weather and get outside!
Sincerely,
Laurel Hart, ND
Our Spring Sale is happening! We have lots of goodies on sale this month: 20%, 30%, and some even 60% off! Some exclusions do apply. Stop in and grab any Spring Sale goodies and take a look in our Freebie Basket!
In case you missed it last month, you may be asking what’s the “Freebie Basket”? I am glad you asked, again😉 We have decided to create a process for clearing out our expired goods without throwing them in the trash. The FDA requires expiration dates on supplements, just like they do for foods and pharmaceuticals. Often, the products are still effective, but if they are expired, we cannot-in good conscience-sell them in our store. But there is nothing that says we can’t give them away! Stop by, you have until March 30th!
1) Did you know that allergies can be influenced by your liver health?
Many people think of allergies as a problem that starts in the nose, lungs, or skin. However, an often-overlooked factor in allergy symptoms is liver health. As you navigate the changing seasons (and the rollercoaster of changing weather) you may find that "It's that time of year again." But before you reach for that OTC allergy medication that has side effects of its own, hear me out. You may be able to decrease the suffering you experience from allergies, by increasing natural support for your liver.
The liver acts as the body’s primary chemical processing and detoxification center. Every day it filters the blood, helping break down medications, environmental toxins, metabolic waste, and inflammatory compounds. When liver detoxification pathways are working efficiently, these substances are neutralized and removed before they overstimulate the immune system.
One of the key allergy-related compounds the body must manage is histamine. Histamine is released by immune cells during allergic reactions and is responsible for many familiar symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, rashes, and nasal congestion. The body must break histamine down quickly after it is released. Research shows that the liver plays an important role in metabolizing and clearing histamine from the bloodstream.
If the liver becomes sluggish or overwhelmed—due to factors such as environmental exposures, poor diet, alcohol, medications, or chronic inflammation—histamine and other inflammatory substances may not be cleared as efficiently. This can allow histamine levels to remain elevated longer in the body, potentially contributing to stronger or more persistent allergy symptoms.
While liver health is only one piece of the allergy puzzle, supporting liver function through good nutrition, hydration, balanced digestion, and reduced toxic load may help the body regulate inflammatory responses more effectively.
Key Takeaway:
A well-functioning liver helps clear histamine and other inflammatory compounds from the body. When liver detoxification slows down, these substances may accumulate and contribute to increased allergy sensitivity.

2) Invitation: Early Access to a New Regenerative Joint Support Therapy
At Westside Natural Health, I am always looking for innovative therapies that may help support the body’s natural healing process.
I have recently been introduced to a healthcare professional-only product called NuvoCell, a regenerative joint cream that is designed to support mobility and joint comfort without drugs, injections, or downtime. According to the manufacturer, the cream contains bioactive molecules and extracellular vesicles derived from mesenchymal stem cells that are intended to signal the body’s natural repair processes and support tissue recovery.
(NuvoCell Biologics) NuvoCell Biologics boasts results that are on par with injectable stem cell therapies without the needles, and in a much more cost-effective way.
NuvoCell is applied topically and uses absorption-enhancing ingredients to help deliver these regenerative signaling molecules to the targeted area.
(NuvoCell Biologics)
